Prices vary, but a basic Virtual Tour that includes four panoramas starts from £199 + VAT. If you are happy with the quotation, the next step is to arrange the photo-shoot. This can take anything from a couple of hours to several days depending upon the size of the project. Local lighting conditions and of the course the weather can affect the length of the shoot. Then the hard work starts in the processing department. The raw picture files are first converted into HDR(High Dynamic Range) images. These are then "stitched" together into the 360 x 180 degree panorama. The panorama is edited for ghosting (where people have moved from one image to another), colour corrected and sharpened as necessary. Finally the user interface is created and the finished panoramas are incorporated so that they can be viewed interactively on a computer screen. The finished product will normally be uploaded for viewing via the internet, but it can also be burned to disc if required.
Your Virtual Tour, once completed, will use the latest version of Flash Player, Flash 10. It will also be W3C Compliant.
Options available include sound plugin(music or voiceover), video plugin, Googlemaps plugin. Also still picture and text pop-up boxes can be incorporated into your Virtual Tour when required to add to the user experience. Navigation between each scene can be achieved by a number of methods including Hotspots, thumbnail images and simple text buttons down the side of the page. The Tour can be embedded into an already existing web-page or be a stand alone web-page linked to from a relevant part of your website.
